Notre Dame (9) vs Louisville
Monday, September 2 nd, 8:00 PM in Cardinal Stadium
Swinging Johnson: This week Doug Upstone and render our school football selections on the Monday night match between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Louisville Cardinals and that I shall deviate to dip our feet into uncharted waters.
It will almost certainly be the first and only time this season we do so, as the previous week of display NFL football is somewhat lackluster in comparison to some regular-season game of NCAA soccer featuring one of the very best clubs in the country, plus a mythical soccer program to boot up, Notre Dame.
Without further ado, lets start the debate after my friend Doug Upstone got the better of me last week with a bet on the Steelers while I backed the Titans. Weve been swapping wins back and forth so it appears like it is my turn for the gold wreath, as I heartily endorse the Irish and will follow the squares putting the thick lumber on a public street favorite.
After reviewing the school football odds nearly six days ahead of this Monday night affair, I see the lineup has spiked a half-point about the favorite, opening at Notre Dame -19 1/2 to where its presently offered in a solid -20 across the board whatsoever of the very best online sportsbooks.
You are currently leaning onto the Cardinals although doug, I love the Irish. Other than the venue, why do you think Louisville could hang with the boys in South Bend?
Doug Upstone: Yes, Swinger, and a win IMO, it said a great deal about the direction of both the Steelers and Titans. Let us move to real football, where the games rely and so will our records on this one.
Remember those Thursday night games Louisville utilized to perform against opponents that are big-name? They held their engineered and own upsets. These were fun games to see and the Cardinals were a thrilling golf club.
But for example the former Papa Johns Stadium as well as its fake (in real life) owner, Louisville soccer last season was worse than a three-day-old pizza.
Scott Satterfield are out to change the culture and win games and worked miracles at Appalachian State. This wont happen immediately as the ability level is down from theVille. However , this is a moment for Louisville, a group that has the opportunity to start taking steps.
I have read where the Cards trainers have popped up the slow mechanics of QB Jawon Pass (great name for a QB) and that I enjoy Hassan Hall as the direct running back. Than having a ticket for the Colts at OVER 9 for season 23, the shield, well, which makes me more worried. You have your Irish up please dont forget.
Swinging Johnson: The Cardinals will not be doing much flying into this match since the Notre Dame defense will keep them comfortable in their nest. Scott Satterfield is in the big leagues and hes got a team coming from a dismal 2-10 record this past year where they went winless. This rebuild is comparable to carrying a hot air balloon and trying to turn it.
While this may eventually happen, the issue is that Louisville is facing a group which made it to the CFP this past year and possessed one of the stingiest defenses in all of college football, surrendering just 17.2 points within the regular season and going a perfect 12-0 till they met Clemson from the CFP semifinals. The Irish offense clicked on all cylinders as well, averaging over 33 points per game.
My question is, just how is a quarterback like Pass whos slow to discharge, designed to gain any traction against a swarming Irish defense? Especially when hes working with a new coach and an entirely new offensive scheme?
Please, Doug, save me Im lost! I find no way, shape or form in which Louisville will be able to keep up with this Golden Domers and I am desperate for the ancestral wisdom and prodigious handicapping expertise!
Doug Upstone: Well, Swinger, I am happy to see in your last sentence you are coming around to the sunny side of sports betting, or you are simply being the exact same wise a** you usually are. Ill allow the SBR readers that are currently making college football selections decide on this. Im the first to realize Louisville fully pumped and wasnt only 2-10, however 1-11 ATS last year.
Like he gave up around the Atlanta Falcons However, coach Bobby Petrino was given up on by that team COMPLETELY. A new mindset is brought by A coach and his staff will be sold by Satterfield on making a statement, with this being a national match. Louisville does need to trust never and the Irish will take them for granted have a lot of fight.
Let us also consider, Brian Kelly using the blue and gold is ATS as a road favorite, and a mere 7-9-1 ATS, if dishing out 20 or more specimens. This defense you said might improve as the year progresses but replacing five starters, whenever you dont/cant recruit like Clemson or even Bama, it is going to take time.
I was being a bit facetious because although youve got an impressive handicapping resume, then you miss the mark from time to time. And in this circumstance, you happen to be shooting blanks because Louisville could be greater but Id submit that they are trained with a Rhesus monkey and improve upon their document rendered by an awkward trainer such as Petrino.
I understand that placing nearly 3 touchdowns on the street would be square biz for sure along with Joe Q. Public never got rich by gambling the heavy street chalk, but sometimes the general public is right, and also in this situation they surely are. Until once we get back on our NFL Game of the Week, next week, lets see what happens on Monday when the Irish come ready to rumble in Louisville.
Free College Football Pick: Swinging Johnson — Notre Dame -20 (-110)
Free College Football Pick: Doug Upstone — Louisville +20 (-110)

Swinging Johnson: The Cardinals will not be doing as the Notre Dame defense will keep them snug in their nest flying into this game. Scott Satterfield is in the big leagues and hes got a group coming from a dismal album this past year, in which they went winless in ACC action. This rebuild is akin to trying to turn it into an F-22 Raptor and taking a hot air balloon.
While that may eventually happen, the problem is that Louisville is confronting a group that made it into the CFP last year and owned one of the stingiest defenses in all of college football, devoting only 17.2 points over the regular season and moving a perfect 12-0 until they met Clemson in the CFP semifinals. The offense was clicking on all cylinders as well, averaging 33 points per game over.
My issue is, just how can be a quarterback like traveling who is slow to release, designed to get any traction against a Irish shield? Especially when he is working with a new trainer and an offensive strategy that is entirely new?
Please, Doug, rescue me Im lost! I see no way, shape or form in which Louisville is going to have the ability to keep up with the Golden Domers and I am desperate for your ancestral wisdom and handicapping experience that is prodigious!

Christian Coleman: American sprinter says he will never fail a drug test

American sprinter Christian Coleman has defended himself said he’s»never failed a drug test and not will».
Coleman, 23, was charged with overlooking three drugs tests and faced an automatic one-piece ban.
However, the US Anti-Doping Agency (Usada) withdrew the charge earlier this month after receiving guidance from the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada).
«I set my heart and soul into track and field, and worked tirelessly to get where I am today,» Coleman wrote on Instagram.
«It is simply disrespectful when imitation fans talk and discuss drugs in relation to the fantastic athletes we have in this game.
«It does nothing but hold the sport back in the popularity I know it can reach in the future.
«I should not have to defend myself for the first and last time that I do not take any supplements or protein powders – nothing even legal to help with recovery»
Coleman, who ran a world-leading time of 9.81 seconds in the 100m in the Diamond League in California in June, is free to compete in the World Athletics Championships, beginning in Doha on 28 September, along with the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Usada had promised Coleman had missed drug tests on 6 June, 2018, and 16 January and 26 April in a 12-month interval of this year – using three tests.
However, as the International Standard for Testing and Tests (ISTI) states a»filing collapse» relates back to the very first day of the quarter,» Coleman claimed the first of these dates should be 1 April, 2018.
«I work hard at exercise, drink water, rest, and work much harder the following day,» added Coleman.
«Therefore, I have never failed a drug test and never . I’m the greatest advocate for clean sport because I know the sacrifice and what is necessary to make it on the degree.
«There are a good deal of wrong things said from the media over the past couple of months; it is a shame we are living in a universe where [story] clicks equals money, yet people still think everything they see.
«Enormous thank you to all my fans. Can not wait for World Champs. Watchy’all in Doha.»

World Grand Prix Darts Outright Tips & Preview

The 2019 World Grand Prix is just a few days away and the championship appears wide open. In having to reach on a double to start the leg the format of the important has lent itself to lots of upsets through the years. This means that there is a jolt or two early on.
There are many players currently playing some darts at the moment and youll be able to make a case. The fact its possible to locate Michael Van Gerwen at 15/8 is currently telling of his form just it is and lately. We may return at the end of the week and most importantly say of course MVG went to win, hes the best player on earth. However, with short games at the start and the arrangement, I would look at a couple at prices that are larger.
Looking at the attraction, there is no simple half of it. Having said this, but the bottom half is definitely harder. There are a number of yummy looking first round games, such as Rob Cross v Mensur Suljovic and Gerwyn Price v Dave Chisnall. Chizzy got to the Gibraltar Darts Trophy final, losing out to Krzysztof Ratajski who finds himself in this aspect of the draw, last week. Chisnall struck a nine darter and it looks like he is being actually helped by his darts. Me would worry, although before the draw, I liked the appearance of Price, whos just getting better. I am not backing any bets for the tournament.
Rather, I am looking in the half of the attraction for my choices. Yes, Michael Van Gerwen is still in this half but he is beatable. He needs to undergo his first two games but you never know in the Grand Prix. He could face fellow countryman Jeffery de Zwaan in the second round that he beat him at the 2018 World Matchplay. Whoever makes it throughout that region of the draw??I hope to confront my very first selection JAMES WADE (best price 25-1).
The two-time Grand Prix winner obviously adores this tournament. Having to start on a suits Wade awarded his impeccable record on them. It is a clich?? however he actually is a clutch player. Legs will slip from nowhere. Since the birth of his son he appears to have become much more relaxed. His return to the Premier League saw him end in third place.
Recently he reached two semi-finals from the European Matchplay and New Zealand Experts. He then followed up with his fifth largest PDC name of the year a month in the Players Championship at Barnsley. He arrives in Dublin in powerful form and also with happy memories here. With a good draw I think Wade is marginally on the side at 25/1. As MVG very well understands after his jolt 2017 exit to the Scotsman, his game against John Henderson is going to not be a pushover. I will observe the Machine moving far in the 21, if Wade can get past that using some momentum behind him.
My next bet is MICHAEL SMITH (best cost 22-1). Certainly that major is only round the corner? He keeps knocking on the door at big events and you would think he will go all of the way later or earlier. He was in the World Matchplay final against Cross but it was yet another impressive run at a big for the Bully Boy. He had some disappointing exits from the Players Championship in Barnsley that might be a factor supporting his cost. This does not worry me, but as Smith seems to put in a run at the big events.
His capability is sensational and when he could land his doubles at a good pace he could defeat anyone. He could be a frustrating player to watch and may be his own worst enemy at times. He works herself up a lot over missed chances that he carries into the leg rather than just forgetting about that. Hes a pleasure to watch when hes on song however.
Hes got a quarter of the attraction. Of course no games are simple but a player of Smiths calibre should get Simon Whitlock and then Joe Cullen or Ian White in his first two matches. I imagine hes more determined than ever to win that major that he deserves. He has all of the ability in the world and I dont doubt hell go on to win several majors. This week offers a ideal chance.

World Grand Prix Darts Outright Tips & Preview

The 2019 World Grand Prix is a few days away and also the tournament appears wide open. The special format in having to strike on a double to begin the leg , has lent itself to lots of upsets over recent years. This means that there is generally a shock or two early on.
There are enjoying some darts that are fantastic and youre able to create a case. The fact youre able to find Michael Van Gerwen in 15/8 is telling of his form just it is and recently. We may look back at the weeks conclusion and say of course MVG was likely to win, he is the best player on the planet. But with the arrangement and games at the start, I would rather consider a few at prices.
There isnt any simple half of it. Having said that, however, the bottom half is harder. There are some tasty looking first round matches, including Gerwyn Price v Dave Chisnall and Rob Cross v Mensur Suljovic. Chizzy got to the Gibraltar Darts Trophy final, missing out to Krzysztof Ratajski who also finds himself last week. Chisnall hit on a nine darter and it looks like he is being really helped by his brand new darts. Prior to the draw, I enjoyed the expression of Cost, whos only getting better, but the kind of Chizzy would stress me. I am not financing any stakes for the tournament in the bottom half the draw.
I am looking in the half of the attraction for my own choices. Yes, Michael Van Gerwen is in this half but he is beatable. You never know in the Grand Prix although he really must undergo his first two matches. He could potentially face countryman Jeffery p Zwaan at the next round that famously beat him in the 2018 World Matchplay. Whoever makes it throughout that region of the draw??I hope to confront my first choice JAMES WADE (best price 25-1).
This championship is obviously loved by the two wheeled Grand Prix winner. Needing to begin on a suits Wade given his record. It is a clich?? however he is a clutch player. Legs will sneak from opposition from nowhere. Since the sons arrival he appears to have become much more relaxed. His return to the Premier League watched him finish in third place before dropping to Rob Cross in the semi-final.
Lately he attained two semi-finals in New Zealand Experts and the Matchplay. He then followed this up with his PDC title of the year a month. He arrives in Dublin in strong form and also with many memories . Having a good attraction I think Wade is slightly on the aspect at 25/1. His first match against John Henderson is going to be no pushover, as MVG well understands following his shock 2017 exit into the Scotsman. I can observe the Machine if Wade will get beyond that using some momentum behind him.
My second wager is MICHAEL SMITH (best price 22-1). Certainly that important is only around the corner? He keeps knocking on the door at events that are big and youd think he will go all of the way later or earlier. It was yet another remarkable run at a major for the Bully Boy although he was unfortunate in the World Matchplay final against Cross. He had some disappointing exits in the Players Championship at Barnsley a month that might be a factor supporting his price. As Smith always seems to put in a run at the events, this does not worry me, however.
His scoring power is simply magnificent and he can beat anyone, when he could land his doubles at a speed. He can be a frustrating player to see and could be his own worst enemy occasionally. He works herself up a lot over missed opportunities that he carries to the next leg as opposed to just forgetting about it. When he is on song he is a joy to see.
Hes got a large scale quarter of the draw also. Of course no matches are easy but a participant of Smiths calibre should get then and Simon Whitlock Joe Cullen or Ian White in his first two games. I imagine he is more determined than ever to eventually win that major that he deserves. He has all the talent in the world and I dont doubt he will go on to acquire majors. This week provides a perfect chance to eliminate the mark.

He arrived from the Steelers on a three-year deal worth more than $50m (#41m) each season.
Brown has not received any money by the Raiders so far.
The group supported Brown’s death in a announcement.
Brown will now signal for any group as a free agent and isn’t subject to waivers.
