Johnathan Joseph making early impact in London

Four months before confronting the Jacksonville Jaguars inside Wembley Stadium, Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph has already gotten the jump on making an impact in London. In a capacity, that is.
Joseph was one of an eight-player set of ambassadors, such as Akiem Hicks of the Panthers of the Bears and Mario Addison . Each agent will have a team participating in the 2019 London Games.

Along with serving as an honorary coach throughout the 2019 NFL Flag Championships on July 3 — a contest where his group completed the runners-up — Joseph conducted various interviews, combine-esque drills, and practices for children, all in the name of growing the NFL’s existence across the pond.
«This has been a fantastic experience for me,» Joseph said Wednesday via John McClain of The Houston Chronicle. «I have been so impressed with the youngsters. They are keen to learn, and there’s definitely gift here. They want to be trained»
The two-time Pro Bowler did not hesitate to put on his hat in the middle of his trip, According to the last portion of his statement. When asked if the NFL may see an influx of U.K. players in the coming years, Joseph expressed he enjoys the chances.
«The NFL’s doing so much to promote our soccer over here. You find a talent pool just like they have here, and they begin to work at getting better, and also, in time, I think you’ll see several players in the NFL coming out of here,» he explained.
Panthers defensive end Efe Obada and absolutely free agent running back Jay Ajayi, a standout talent with the Dolphins and Eagles, are a part of a small group of current and former players with U.K. roots but, like the rest of those names, neither were both born and spent the vast majority of their own lives in England.
Should Joseph’s prediction be accurate, efforts like those he and his colleagues contributed to could have a substantial influence as the NFL continues to evolve.
