Sampson was appointed interim supervisor in Broadhall Way on Monday following the dismissal of Dino Maamria.
The Football Association is investigating a complaint that the prior Lionesses manager used terminology.
A statement read:»Stevenage Football Club can restate that, following an internal investigation, allegations of racially discriminatory terminology brought against Caretaker Manager Mark Sampson reported at the national press yesterday have no base.
«The allegations were phoned into the FA with a former coach the afternoon after he was advised by Sampson he required his services in the club»
Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace said,»Like every professional team, regardless of where the complaint comes in, we follow rigorous procedures, which have been traced to the letter.
«The prosecution had been offered the chance to earn an official complaint but declined the opportunity, instead deciding to call the FA.
«But CEO Alex Tunbridge acted promptly to interview and take statements from 2 people the claimant mentioned were witnesses, in addition to others that were present in precisely the same meeting, but not cited by the prosecution.
«In each case that the witnesses didn’t support the allegations. Given the conditions of this allegation and that overpowering outcome, the team concluded there was no case to answer.
«Perhaps now the FA have the proof, they’ll ensure it is clear there’s not any case to answer.
«Guilt by association – especially when the individual is well known – is a common weapon to use against people in the eye and when we find it has no base, we must be both clear in making that known.»
The 36-year-old was sacked from his prior role as head coach of the England Women team in 2017, after accusations of bullying and discrimination.
News surfaced that he had a connection with a participant during his time as coach of Bristol Academy, that resulted in his dismissal.
The FA said that the allegations were researched and Sampson was cleared of any wrongdoing.
