Sol Campbell interviewed for vacant Southend job

Sol Campbell was interviewed for the Southend United project.
Even the ex-England, Arsenal and Tottenham defender is among those to have spoken with Shrimpers chairman Ron Martin because hes ramped up efforts to put in a successor to Kevin Bond.
Campbell, who left struggling League Two club Macclesfield this season, is known to have been contested however, has yet to attend a new game.
Manchester United former Barcelona and Celtic star Henrik Larsson has also been interviewed for its job in the Sky Bet League One club and been spotted at Roots Hall.
Chairman Martin is said to have travelled to Sweden lately, although defender Adam Barrett has been linked with the project.
Martin had hoped to make an appointment . however, it is known that is inclined to take place next week.
Caretaker director Gary Waddock is anticipated to be to Priestfield this weekend.
