Japan coach Jamie Joseph says his staff are distressed to face Scotland at the Rugby World Cup on Sunday, also believes the Brave Blossoms deserve greater respect so far.
Typhoon Hagibis has already forced two games to be cancelled, together with all the hosts pivotal Pool A clash in Yokohama in the balance against the Scots.
A cancellation would visit Japan progress to the quarter-finals.
Id like to remind folks it hasnt been a fluke, Joseph said.
Weve played and won three Test matches, which has put us in the best position in our swimming pool.
It has been a good deal of hard work from a lot of people. This group was in camp for 240 days this season.
Everyone in our squad – staff and players – wants to play with the Test match.
Even the Scotland camp are unhappy in the lack of contingency planning with the side facing removal of Gregor Townsend, out of tournament organisers.
In the event the decisive clash doesnt go 20, the Scottish Rugby Union are thought to be considering legal action.
I think that the important distinction here between us now and Scotland is were pushed and supported by the entire nation, Joseph added.
My group is inspired by accomplishing something thats great – not avoiding an embarrassment.
All the press reports in the past couple of days are around an uncontrollable thing such as the typhoon – and [the coverage] has lost its way.
The reports I have read are about legal proceeding, but what I am saying is its a massive Evaluation match for our team and I believe that weve got the most to lose as were in the ideal position to top the pool.
We all would like to make the right to be thought of as one of the elite teams in the world.
Its important for all of us to wake up Monday morning and comprehend that [either] were a worthy top eight staff or we arent quite good enough
Joseph has also pointed out the disparity between the resources of the side compared to Tier One Films such as Scotland.
Whilst nearly all my players are specialist in their companies, were a amateur rugby team, he said.
If our players are in camp with Japan they do not get paid – or they get about 100 dollars every day. I will allow you to make the comparisons to the other groups.
With Hagibis expected to wreak havoc in Tokyo and surrounding areas on Saturday, a determination will be made on Sunday morning as regards Japan against Scotland will go ahead, together with Scotland boss Townsend saying hes faith that the match will be able to proceed as proposed.
There was someone out there that did do it and that would do it
