Japan trainer Jamie Joseph says that his staff considers the Brave Blossoms deserve greater respect to their unbeaten campaign up to now, and are distressed to face Scotland at the Rugby World Cup on Sunday.
Typhoon Hagibis has forced two games to be cancelled, together with all the hosts Pool A clash at Yokohama from the balance, from the Scots.
A cancellation would see Japan advancement.
Id love to remind folks it hasnt been a fluke, Joseph said.
Weve played and won three Test matches, and that has set us at the best place within our swimming pool.
Its been a good deal of hard work with a lot of individuals. This team has been at camp for 240 days this year.
Everyone in our squad – players and staff – wants to play the Test match.
Even the Scotland camp are unhappy at the lack of contingency planning together with the side facing elimination of Gregor Townsend, out of tournament organisers.
In the event the clash doesnt go 20, the Scottish Rugby Union can also be thought to be contemplating legal action.
I think the crucial difference here between us now and Scotland is were driven and supported by the entire country, Joseph added.
My team is inspired by accomplishing something thats great – not preventing an embarrassment.
All the media reports in the last few days are around an uncontrollable thing such as the typhoon – and – [the coverage] has really lost its way.
The reports Ive read are about legal proceeding, but what Im saying is it is a massive Test match for our team and I feel that we have the most to lose as were in the best position to top the pool.
We all wish to earn the right to be thought of as one of the elite teams on the planet.
It is important for us to wake up on Monday morning and understand that [either] we are a worthy top eight staff or we are not quite good enough
Joseph has also pointed out the disparity between his sides sources in comparison to Tier One outfits such as Scotland.
Whilst nearly all my players are specialist in their companies, we are an amateur baseball team, he said.
When our players are in camp with Japan they dont get paid – or they receive about 100 dollars every day. I will permit you to create the comparisons into the other groups.
With Hagibis expected to wreak chaos on Tokyo and surrounding areas on Saturday, a determination will be made on Sunday morning when it comes Japan against Scotland will proceed, together with Scotland boss Townsend saying hes faith that the game will be able to continue as proposed.
There was someone out there who did that could do it and do it again
