Ronda Rousey will create her long-awaited go back to the Octagon when she challenges Amanda Nunes to the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 207. Rousey has not fought since she dropped the belt — in her single career reduction — to Holly Holm at UFC 193.
Rousey’s most significant features are her aggression and finishing ability. «Rowdy» hasn’t gone to the judges’ scorecards in her 13-fight pro career with 11 career successes through first-round stoppage. She is always pushing the speed and has fluid grappling skills to establish her entry match. But, it became clear in the Holm fight that she could be frustrated and saddened by an opponent with great footwork.
Nunes rarely goes to decision either, as she has gone the distance only twice in her 17 pro fights. She’s technically solid on the toes with huge power in her hands. More frequently than not, she utilizes her wrestling capability to take the fight to the mat and utilize barbarous ground and pound to finish her opponent. «The Lioness» was known to gas outside, though, and her hyper-aggressive style means the longer the fight goes, the worse it gets to the champion.
UFC 207 will happen on December 30.
