A hat-trick from Janine Beckie helped Manchester City into a 4-0 second-leg win over Lugano to secure their position at the Women’s Champions League final 16.
Leading City picked up where they left off in Switzerland – Beckie lifting on the keeper following a pass from Keira Walsh.
The Canada striker lashed into finish her treble and after got on the conclusion of a non Walsh pass to make it 2-0.
Sub Pauline Bremer rounded the horn to wrap up an 11-1 aggregate victory.
Little resistance was provided by the Korean league runners-up of last season, with City manager Nick Cushing competent to shoot off Walsh and England skipper Steph Houghton following Beckie’s next aim, soon on the mark.
The result means City improved their efforts in the contest last year, even when they were knocked out in the last 32 by Atletico Madrid.
Elsewhere, England winger Nikita Parris scored double as holders Lyon thrashed Russian facet Ryazan 7-0 to finish a 16-0 aggregate success.
The two City and Lyon will be seeded in the last-16 draw of Monday, with the matches to be played around 30-31 and the 16-17 October.
