Mitchell Starc in, Usman Khawaja out for Australia in fourth Ashes Test squad

Usman Khawaja and James Pattinson have been dropped from Australia to the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford as Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith come into the squad.

Australia are put to make two changes to the side which was defeated by Ben Stokes’ record-breaking innings at Headingley in the next Ashes Test.
Quick bowler Starc comes into the squad with Pattinson dropping out, leaving Peter Siddle, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and himself for its 3 speed bowling areas for the match which begins at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
His addition was expected after an impressive display in the tour match against Derbyshire of Australia week – a match where Khawaja was called captain – carrying seven wickets in the match.
Khawaja drops out of the group after incorporating in the first three Tests at No 3, but he’s paid the cost for a mean of merely 20.33 from his six innings in the sequence.
Later he recovered from the concussion he suffered by a Jofra Archer bouncer which struck him in the throat through the second Test at Lord’s khawaja’s place will be taken from the returning Smith.
Keeps his place in the team afterwards top-scoring in Leeds in both innings for the Aussies.
Australia are currently seeking having been denied what appeared a victory by Stokes and his partner.
