As -245 house favorites and that amount is only expected to rise, on the surface this doesn’t appear to be much of a competition with the MLB chances having Houston.
Realistically, the question to answer relating to this AL matchup is would you back Houston about the line or the cash line? However, is it? Lest we forget , it was when these very same Astros lost to -550 favorites as -520 to Detroit 2-1. Should that be a concern? Should we delve into more news about this matchup? Definitely.
Season Oddities About Each Club

That might be the situation for both of tonight’s starting pitchers, the Mariners’ Marco Gonzales (14-11, 4.30 ERA) and the Astros’ Wade Miley (13-6, 3.06 ERA).
Take the lefty Gonzales from the Seattle employees and their record would be even more miserable. The one aspect that Gonzales brings into the Mariners is that helps them play and that they understand that they have a legitimate chance to win.
Miley proceeds to amaze, moving from a washed-up hurler nearly 14 months ago into a successful No. 3 starter to a World Series contender.
