Trainer Aidan Fogarty accounts his celebrity filly Forever following her campaign in the Sprint Cup at Haydock to have scoped In Dreams.
After winning a Listed prize at the Merseyside venue in May, the girl of Fantasy Ahead was snapped by the Phoenix Ladies Syndicate ahead of her conduct in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot – and did her new owners pleased with a tremendous effort to complete second to Martyn Meade’s Advertise.
She left her first appearance since but ended a disappointing 10th of 11 runners supporting Kevin Ryan’s Hello Youmzain, who was one spot behind In hindsight at the Royal meeting.
«She scoped badly when she arrived home, so at least we have a reason,» said Fogarty.
«The first matter Billy (Lee) stated following the race was that she sensed a bit flat, which will be similar to her, as she generally travels well.
«She played up a bit in the parade until the racewhich she doesn’t do, so maybe she knew more than we did.
«She had been fine straight after the race, but once we scoped her at home on Sunday it wasn’t right, so she’s on the simple list.
«We’ll see how she is, but she is at the Foret at France and she can run there if we are satisfied with her.»
