Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Over/Under: 42.5

Fromal’s Record Projection: 42-40 The Bet: lean although Avoid under
Expecting a bigger jump from the Charlotte Hornets, who travelled only 36-46 final year with a largely similar roster, could be possible if the team had addressed its main issue.
Dwight Howard can help, though he’ll also keep the exceptionally underrated Cody Zeller off the ground. Lest we forget, the Hornets’ web rating improved by 10.4 points per 100 possessions when the incumbent center played 2016-17. Malik Monk must also provide a nice scoring punch off the bench.
When Kemba Walker stays However, what happens?
He had been the unquestioned motor for Charlotte during the previous campaign, but he wore down toward the center of the year.
Tasked with too many duties on the offensive end and always asked to make his own shots, Walker had the All-Star break to refresh and could not really lead the charge back in the playoff picture throughout the year’s second half.
Maybe the story would have lacked rather differently in case a competent backup point guard had graced the depth chart to mitigate the downfalls when Walker needed breathers.
Now, Michael Carter-Williams fills this job. The former Rookie of the Year is by no way a game-changing presence, and his inability to take could mess the second unit’s spacing. He is not really a fantastic match from a personnel standpoint, and that’ll place the identical kind of pressure on Walker once again.
Expecting six extra victories is reasonable as the team grows and fits in the new developments. Seven is pushing against it.
