The Khalid Abdullah-owned Siskin is unbeaten in four starts so far, most recently providing his coach Ger Lyons with a first Group One victory in Ireland when shooting the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last month.
He was a possible to lock horns with Charlie Appleby’s 2000 Guineas Pinatubo on the day of Irish Champions Weekend, but relations have chosen to keep their powder dry to the Middle Park a race.
Abdullah’s racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe explained:»In the back of our heads the Middle Park was always the race we were looking at the majority of us.
«We just feel he’s better suited sticking to six furlongs at this phase.»
